It was a tough choice deciding this week's location. Over the Chinese New Year holidays, Christian wasn't exactly in the best of moods, so we didn't want to head somewhere too far off that required Christian to sit in his car seat for too long. He sure was a little "Ants in the Pants" kinda grouchy guy. Sitting still was a "No can do"!
We're pretty lucky with where we live. We're not too close to any main roads, surrounded by lots of greenery, 2 beautiful reservoirs near by... and now we've found a new hangout not too far away, Sembawang Park! It was less than a 10 minute drive away and was definitely "Ants in the Pants" approved!
What better way to cheer this little guy up than to head somewhere to do what he loved most.
The moment he saw the trees from out the car window, his eyes lit up. He dashed straight to the grass patch with the usual "Gweeennn Gwwaasss, schticks! Leaf!" It was such a relief for both Christopher and I to see him in his element, back to his usual cheerful self.
As we held hands and made a run for it down the grass slopes, Christian would yell as loud as he could with the biggest smile on his face, "WAYDY! STEADY! TIME.. TO... GO FOR IT!" Once, we began at the top of the slope with Christian holding on to this twig full of leaves, by the time we reached the bottom, the little guy had shook the leaves off in the process, leaving nothing but the naked twig!
Hope this made you feel loads better buddy. =)
